How to earn rewards

  • Zaktualizowano

This article explains how a purchase made through your link results in a reward and what can affect it.

When you join an offer in Admitad Lite, you get an affiliate link that contains your unique ID. This ID shows that the user came through your link. You share this link with your audience. When a user follows it and makes a purchase, you receive a reward.

Here is how it works:

  1. Click. The user follows your affiliate link, and their browser saves a cookie that helps assign the purchase to you.
The user can browse the store, close the tab and return the next day, or visit the store directly later. The cookie stays active for a set number of days, which depends on the offer.
  2. Action. After the user makes a purchase (completes the target action), the advertiser’s store sends data about it to Admitad Lite. Based on this data, the purchase is assigned to you.
  3. Reward. The reward for the purchase appears in your statistics with the Awaiting status. You can withdraw it after the advertiser reviews and approves the purchase.
  4. Review. The advertiser checks that the purchase wasn’t canceled or returned. If the advertiser approves the purchase, the reward moves to your balance.
  5. Withdrawal. You create a withdrawal request and get your earnings.

A purchase can’t be assigned to you if:

  • The cookie expires before the user buys.
  • The user follows another person’s affiliate link after yours. The cookie with your data is overwritten, and the purchase is assigned to that person. The last click before the purchase wins. This model is called last-click attribution and is standard in affiliate marketing.

What is a target action

Every advertiser defines which target actions they pay for, such as a purchase, a registration, an app install, or another action. In Admitad Lite, you earn rewards for a purchase: a percentage of the order value or a fixed amount. This pricing model is called cost per sale (CPS).

What reward statuses mean

After the user makes a purchase, the reward gets a status that shows what’s happening with it:

  • Awaiting. The advertiser is verifying the action. The verification period is 30 days. The reward appears in your statistics, but you can’t withdraw it yet.
  • Approved. The advertiser has confirmed the action. The reward moves to your balance, and you can withdraw it.
  • Declined. The advertiser has declined the action, and the reward won’t be paid. For possible reasons, see Why an action can be declined.

Why 30 days? The advertiser needs time to make sure the purchase wasn’t canceled or returned and the offer terms weren’t violated. In Admitad Lite, the verification period is the same for all offers, so you always know when to expect your money.

Why clicks don’t always bring rewards

A click only means that the user followed your link. It doesn’t mean that the user intended to make a purchase. For example, out of 100 people who visit a shopping center, about 2 make a purchase. The same applies online.

The ratio of purchases to clicks is called the conversion rate (CR). A typical CR in affiliate marketing is 1–3%, that is, roughly 1–3 purchases per 100 clicks.

If there are many clicks but no actions, the most common reasons are:

  • Wrong audience. Users who follow the link aren’t interested in the product.
  • Irrelevant offer. The product you promote doesn’t match the topic of your content.
  • Curiosity clicks. Users follow the link just to take a look, without intending to buy. For example, a link in the comments often gets curiosity clicks rather than purchases.

Quality over quantity. 20 clicks from users who are already interested in the product can be more valuable than 500 random clicks.

If a user makes a purchase but you don’t see the action in your statistics, see the possible reasons in Why an action isn’t in statistics.
