How to launch a Hybrid CPA campaign

  • Updated

In a Hybrid CPA ad campaign, publishers promote your products. You pay them a percentage of sales generated through affiliate links plus a flat bonus. The flat bonus is paid only when the target number of unique clicks is reached.

This pricing model is ideal for getting started on the platform because it attracts publishers, guarantees clicks, and supports steady sales.

To set up an ad campaign:

  1. Go to Product promotionAd campaigns.
  2. Click Create campaign.
  3. On the page that opens, select Hybrid CPA and click Set up.
  4. Complete the fields in the Ad campaign settings form:
    • Marketplace store — select the store whose products will participate in the ad campaign. If selection is unavailable, add the store and set up the marketplace integration.
    • Campaign name — enter a name that includes the brand and/or category of the promoted products. For example, “Nike clothing and footwear.” Publishers can easily find all products in your ad campaign by its name.
    • Publisher CPA commission — specify the percentage of sales generated through affiliate links that you will pay the publisher.

By default, the same commission as in your CPA ad campaign is used. You can change the Hybrid CPA commission to manage your advertising cost-to-sales ratio.

  • Hold time — select the number of days for reconciling CPA commissions. During this period, you can decline a commission for a returned or unclaimed product. You can also adjust the commission if an order is only partially completed. After the hold time ends, the commission is approved automatically.
  • Clicks required for flat bonus — specify how many unique clicks to the product pages in this ad campaign a publisher must generate to earn the flat bonus.
  • Flat bonus per publisher — specify the amount a publisher receives after reaching the target number of unique clicks. The recommended cost per click is €0.10. A publisher can receive a flat bonus from an ad campaign only once. You can create separate ad campaigns for different product categories to allocate your advertising budget and track results more effectively. This helps optimize your promotion strategy.

When a publisher meets the conditions for a flat bonus, the flat bonus amount is deducted from your campaign balance and split into transactions. These transactions show how the amount is allocated across the publisher’s sources and promoted products. You can calculate your advertising cost-to-sales ratio in Statistics.

  • Campaign budget for flat bonuses — specify the total amount you plan to spend on all flat bonuses in the ad campaign. Make sure your main balance has sufficient funds. When you launch the ad campaign, this amount is deducted from the main balance and transferred to the campaign balance.

To change the budget amount or add funds to the campaign balance, contact your account manager or support at support@catuik.com. Your main balance in Catuik must remain positive so your ad campaigns are not disabled.

  • Campaign products — add products to the ad campaign by SKU or name. If you need to stop promoting products, you can hide them from the list. Hidden products are not available to publishers in the catalog. However, if a publisher has already published links to these products, they will still receive the flat bonus after reaching the target number of clicks.
  1. Click Launch campaign. The ad campaign appears in the list on the Ad campaigns page with the “Pending launch” status.
  2. Next to the ad campaign name, click Launch. The status changes to “Active”. Publishers can now access links for promoting products in the ad campaign.
